The VENUE of the ICOPHOS-4 will be the Ibis Styles Heraklion Central Hotel located in the center of Heraklion, the capital of Crete, Greece.

Welcome Reception
The 4ICOPHOS Welcome Reception will take place on Monday, October 2nd, at the Ibis Styles Heraklion Central Hotel at 18:00.
Conference Dinner
The Conference Dinner will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd , at 20.00 at “Petousis” restaurant, which is 5 minutes’ walk from Ibis Styles. We have organized a high-quality local traditional dinner providing different options to cover everyone’s taste. The cost is 30.00 euros per person.

TRANSPORTATION
Since Crete is an island, you can arrive by airplane from Athens or directly from several European cities. Crete is also accessible daily by ferry from Athens (Piraeus Harbor) and the trip takes 9 hrs (21:00 – 06:30). The venue is approximately 3,5 km from the International Airport of Heraklion, “Nikos Kazantzakis” (HER).
From the airport in Heraklion, you can get to the Venue by bus or taxi or even on foot. You can also rent a car without a driver, from a large number of different companies (both International and local).
The bus station is located at the entrance of the airport site. Tickets (around 2.00 euros) can be bought from the bus driver before boarding or in a ticket kiosk at the stop. Almost every bus starting from the airport makes a stop at the station Astoria-Liberty Square.
Taxis are available right at the exit from the airport building (arrivals). A taxi trip will last for about 8-10 minutes, and its cost is 9-12 euros.
